- Ask John Moore the Simpleton. But, basically, due to Hollywood's unwritten rule of having at least some "ethnic actors" in their movies to appeal to a wider audience. According to their logic, colored people wouldn't watch films where only white actors appear. And so they modified Lupino and Bravura to that end. Ludacris' popularity was also probably considered as a possible help to the ticket sales. Add the PG rating for an even wider audience. Money is the only thing that matters to the blockbuster investors, staying true to the source material is of little concern to them. They couldn't even pick an older actor! Even still, if the movie had been made good, skin color would have been forgiven. Such thing did not happen, though. Far from it. --TheBearPaw 19:49, December 7, 2011 (UTC)
