The RPD is a machine gun in Max Payne 3.
Overview[]
The RPD packs quite a punch, on par with the FAL. However, its large magazine of 75 rounds allows for user to maintain constant fire for much longer.
The fire rate of the RPD is the slowest of all automatic weapons, which is why it's recommended to hold one's position and fire from cover. Run and gun tactics may be ineffective given that its recoil greatly increases after firing just 3 shots. Precise aiming and trigger discipline is still required since its spread is quite large.
