"Interfectum 600mg. A serious painkiller for serious pain."
―Slogan

Template:ItemInfobox Painkillers, bearing the brand name of Interfectum, are tablets used to the soothe the pain. Max Payne often uses them to mitigate his suffering and allow him to keep going forward killing his enemies. Painkillers come in 600mg doses.

The medicine is found in first aid cabinets, usually in bathrooms. Enemy fighters stash painkillers alongside their weapons in various depots or carry some themselves. Payne can pick up dropped vials from their corpses.

It seems that in 2012 Max Payne is now addicted to painkillers, most likely due to overuse, depression from the traumatic events of his past life and for currently unknown reasons in the nine unseen years.
