The Mugger is a character in Max Payne 3 and a member of the Tropa Z street gang operating in the Nova Esperança favela in São Paulo. The Mugger makes his first and last appearence in the chapter A Hangover Sent Direct from Mother Nature wherein him and two of his fellow gang members rob Max Payne at gunpoint for his gun, his watch and his sunglasses. The Mugger and his associates are later killed by Max in a warehouse inside the favela where they operate.
