Max Heat is an male adult film actor in the Max Payne series.

Description

Despite being referenced in two games of the series, biographical information on the adult film actor is practically non-existent, and any mention of the character is directly related to the adult magazine and film media franchise of the same name. In the first Max Payne, there are a number of Max Heat magazines found throughout Lupino's Hotel. It is unknown whether Max Heat is the subject, owner, distributor, or some combination of the aforementioned possibilities, of the magazine. In Max Payne 2, the adult film actor stars in Max Heat 7 opposite Laura Norder. The supposed seventh entry in the Max Heat series of pornographic films, the actor more than likely stars in the other films that the series is comprised of.

Behind the Scenes

  • During the early stages of Max Payne, the founder of the game's distributor, Scott Miller, wanted the game's protagonist to have an iconic name that would also be the game's title, similar to 3D Realms' other successful series, Duke Nukem. Miller suggested Max, and "Heat" was the only last name Remedy Entertainment could come up with to trademark. Approximately $20,000 was spent attempting to trademark "Max Heat" worldwide, but as soon as someone from Remedy came up with "Payne" as a last name instead, the team gave up on the "Max Heat" trademark.[1]
