The M24 is a sniper rifle in Max Payne 3, exclusive to multiplayer via the Hostage Negotiation DLC.

Overview

As a DLC weapon, it can be equipped as soon as custom loadouts are unlocked at rank 4, far earlier than other sniper rifles. It sports similar damage to the M82A1 and is even more accurate, the tradeoff being that it is the slowest-firing sniper rifle.

Uniquely for a sniper rifle, it can be equipped with the suppressor attachment, and it is arguably the only weapon where it can be worth the range trade-off, given that the thundering sound of its shots often brings enemy attention to the user.
