Involvement

In Max Payne, Jim Bravura was the head of the NYPD. He is a minor character in the game, leading the police chase against Max (while never catching up to him). Towards the end of the last chapter, Max surrenders to Bravura's SWAT team willingly.

Trivia

  • According to fellow police officers, Bravura routinely demotes himself in order to stay closer to police officers involved in the action. He is also a former alcoholic and, like Max, suffers from insomnia.
  • In the Graphic Novels, Bravura is twice shown swallowing Painkillers. Like Max, he may be addicted to them.
  • Along with Max and perhaps Mona, Bravura is one of the only main characters that survive the events of both games.
