"With a standard issue magazine of 45 rounds and the accuracy to outshoot an AK-47, the IMG 5.56 is a no-brainer upgrade for your current Assault Rifle Loadout."
―Social Club description

The IMG 5.56 is an assault rifle in Max Payne 3 that is exclusive to multiplayer via the Painful Memories Pack DLC.

Overview[]

The IMG is an all-purpose assault rifle designed for the purpose of taking out a large number of enemies within a reasonable distance. It fires in accurate 3-round bursts, which makes it ideal for mid-to-long-range encounters, but its inability to fire full-auto is something of a hindrance in close-quarters combat.
