Her appearance suggests that she is of African heritage. At some point before 2003, she began to work as a gunsmith and arms dealer for Russian mobster Vladimir Lem, out of one of his warehouses.

One day in 2003, Cleaners working for Squeaky Cleaning Company attacked Annie's warehouse; murdering most of her employees. Two Cleaners captured her and tied her up.

Max Payne arrived, killing most of the Cleaners, and found Annie. He warned Annie's captors to release her, but they executed her instead.

Afterward, Lem made a show of mourning her death, but in reality, Lem arranged her murder to frame Vinnie Gognitti, and deflect suspicion away from himself.
